Contemporary Watercolorists of Arizona Reception
The Contemporary Watercolorists of Arizona (CWA) proudly announces the unveiling of 50 exceptional and award-winning paintings in watermedia. The Art Reception, a free and open event to the public, will be held at The Vista Center for the Arts on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness the unveiling of the award-winning paintings and engage with the artists behind these remarkable creations.
The Doo Wop Project
The Doo Wop Project begins at the beginning: tracing the evolution of Doo Wop from the classic sound of five guys singing harmonies on a street corner to the biggest hits on the radio today. In their epic shows The Doo Wop Project takes audiences on a journey featuring foundational tunes from the Crests, Belmonts and Flamingos through the vocal artistry of Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, and The Four Seasons all the way to DooWopified versions of modern hits from Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz, Maroon 5, and Sam Smith.
Featuring stars from the Broadway hits Jersey Boys, Motown: The Musical, and A Bronx Tale, The Doo Wop Project brings unparalleled authenticity of sound and vocal excellence to recreate—and in some cases entirely reimagine—the greatest music in American pop and rock history.
This performance is supported by an award from the City of Surprise Arts & Cultural Advisory Commission.
West Valley Symphony - Welcome American Greatness!
To top off the season, Maestro Kellogg conducts the West Valley Symphony performing Chadwick’s “Jubilee” from Symphony Sketches, Hanson’s Symphony No. 2, “Romantic”, Bernstein’s Dances from West Side Story, and Copland’s Hoedown from Rodeo. A concert not to be missed!
Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass
The Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass is America’s premier large brass ensemble. A group that always reflects the diverse makeup of men and women in the American culture, RMPBB is dedicated to the notion that music is a gift to be enjoyed by everyone. Performances range from solo trumpet, to brass quintet, to the full eleven-piece ensemble with percussion. In recent years the group has been invited to perform in performing arts centers around the world including China's National Center for the Performing Arts, Guangzhou Opera House, Tangelwood's Seiji Ozawa Hall, and prominent performing arts centers throughout the United States, South America, Asia, and Europe.

After years of intensive recording projects and concerts for jazz aficionados throughout the U.S., four San Diego-based musicians came together with a purpose: explore the art of song in their own unique way! Renowned jazz, blues and gospel singer Leonard Patton teamed up with the critically acclaimed Danny Green Trio to form LP And The Vinyl. The band’s wide array of influences includes everything from jazz, R&B, and rock, to 80’s and 90’s hits, Brazilian music, and classical music. Blending these sounds together, LP And The Vinyl has created a highly unique and personal approach to music-making that leaves its audiences energized and craving more. The group’s repertoire draws from three separate areas: beautifully reimagined renditions of favorite hits by artists including Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, and David Bowie, fresh and funky explorations of jazz standards, and their own original songs. What lends consistency to their approach is the group’s ability to bring something new to the music every time. They play with no safety nets, and every emotion is on full display.
